WCCHD Vaccinates 900 Front Line Workers During Five-Day Clinic

December 30, 2020 – All 900 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine received by the Williamson
County and Cities Health District (WCCHD) were administered to front line workers
during the five-day vaccination clinic that started on Dec. 26 at Hutto High School.

Eligible staff from local Fire and EMS departments, long-term care facilities that are not
enrolled in a federal pharmacy program, funeral homes, home healthcare agencies and
ISD school nurses participated to receive their first of two doses of the Moderna COVID19 vaccine.

”Only through great partnerships with our local first responder agencies and ISDs were
we able to conduct a very successful vaccination clinic to protect our community’s front
line workers,” said Derrick Neal, WCCHD Executive Director. “We are especially grateful
to Hutto ISD for being gracious hosts, and the gratitude shown by those who were
vaccinated.”

According to DSHS, Texas is still in the “limited supply” phase and some providers may
not have vaccines available yet. Vaccine supply is limited but providers will be receiving
more vaccines each week. For more information about COVID-19 vaccines and the state
